DOUBLE EWES ALBUM RELEASE MATERIALS
Double Ewes is an electronic indie-folk project founded in 2010 by singer-songwriter Whilden Hughes VI. Originating from cassette experiments recorded on the outskirts of Janesville, Wisconsin, the project expanded to include myself and Max Jewer. We deconstructed these early tape loops to compose our self-titled debut (2014), blending acoustic instrumentation with electronic sampling to create a dense, textured soundscape.
The core visual identity and logo were created by Mike Williams. I served as Art Director for the album's physical and digital release, expanding Mike’s identity system into a full layout for the CD booklets, posters, and promotional materials. I also produced a series of original video assets to drive engagement across social media.
The physical release was limited to 150 hand-crafted copies. I collaborated on the screen printing process—applying gold metallic ink to matte black cardstock—and individually hand-numbered each sleeve in my garage behind the historic Avenue Bar in Madison.
